Riri what?

Riri what?

Beauté Finds x Riri Art

Sometimes, we are too busy to stop and appreciate our surroundings. That's probably where art comes in... it's a tiny slice of life preserved for us to feast our senses on. For example, paintings... they have the power to conjure emotions, bring back memories, or influence our thought process.

It's no wonder some paintings become national treasures. There can be so much history behind a painting, so they are tools that deliver the essence of an era.

Beauté Finds supports everything and anything beautéful and that includes all forms of art. And for today, we are very happy to welcome Riri Art to the website!

Riri is the girl behind Riri Art, and she paints a wide variety of subjects: nature, self-portraits, abstract, cartoons and more.

Last year, Riri's works became part of an exhibit - and good news, those paintings are now available for purchase here in Beautefinds.com.

Riri Art @ Exhibit

The Augusto P. Sarmiento Cancer Institute (APSCI) held the exhibit, Accept, Adapt, Transcend - An Art Exhibit Inspired by Hope, last 2022 August 8 to 19 at The Medical City Ortigas Lobby. It featured works from contemporary and master Filipino artists. A portion of the sales went to the Akbay Ginhawa Cancer Fund.

"When we go through challenging times, we look around for friends and family to journey with us in search of the light at the end of the tunnel. This gives us hope and ends all fear. This art exhibit mirrors this passage from darkness to light, from caterpillar to butterfly, from fear to hope. Leaving behind our cocoons of transformation, we emerge better, braver, and stronger. A transcendent version of our former selves." (Text taken from The Medical City FB page).

Shizen

The Shizen series from Riri Art was featured in the Accept, Adapt, Transcend - An Art Exhibit Inspired by Hope art gallery. BeautéFinds.com is honored to host these Riri Art creations and have them available for sale online. The paintings can be delivered anywhere in Metro Manila, or shipped to other parts of the Philippines and abroad.

Riri Q&A

WHAT GOT YOU INTO PAINTING?

"The desire to express the trauma and pain got me into painting. The constant feeling of being out of placed in this world often triggers the side (my other side) who create scenes on blank sheet of paper to materialize places that only exist in my/our mind."

WHEN DO YOU PAINT?

"I paint whenever I want. When I feel like expressing myself, I paint. Regardless of place and time, I paint. You can see me either carrying a book and a mini watercolor sketchpad wherever I am."

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT TO PAINT AND WHY?

"My subjects vary. I can paint eyes non-stop for three consecutive months. However, upon checking my works, I feel like naturescape is what I often paint."

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS AS AN ARTIST?

"I don’t think about the future of my RIRI ART as of now. I just want to focus on creating to express. But yes, I want to improve and to try other subjects and/or themes."
